I’ve been working with Sydney for just a few weeks and already find it tremendously valuable. Sydney is patient with her clients as she introduces new exercises to them. She focuses on form and educates you about the exercises throughout your session. Sydney takes the intimidation factor away from traditional gyms (you basically have the gym to yourself when working out with her). She also checks in with you on your diet, and offers healthy suggestions/tips. I’m also someone who enjoys challenging workouts but don’t push myself enough on my own, so I’m excited to have Sydney, an experienced, certified trainer to work with!

Sydney totally changes what workout means in my life. Before meeting with Sydney, I had stress eating problem, and to lose weight I often did unhealthy dieting on my own or did running/yoga without liking them (and therefore couldn’t persist). I was also a slow learner in sports like tennis and snowboarding because I didn’t know how to use my muscles. However, when I told Sydney about my goals (losing weight, body shaping) Sydney was able to quickly put up a workout plans for me, starting with basic ones that help me get familiar with my muscles and build my confidence in workout gradually. Sydney is also very knowledgeable in human body theories and can explain/guide me to use the right muscle anytime I have difficulties. Based on my progress, Sydney adds fun challenges to help push my limit too. Sydney’s professionalism and patience made me feel very excited and self-fulfilling about every workout. Sydney also provides really detailed advice on how I can enjoy eating without feeling guilty. Even for occasional pigging out, she would let you know how to prep your body for before it and mitigate its impact afterwards. As a result, I’m happy with where I’m in terms of muscle development and weight. But most importantly, I become more comfortable about eating healthy and enjoy working out as a lifestyle.

I have passed the year mark of beginning my fitness journey with Sydney and reflecting upon the amount of impact her training sessions have had in my day to day life as well as in my work life has left me nothing but grateful.
I started my sessions with Sydney in October of 2021 looking to learn how to avoid back injuries at work, rehabilitate my right shoulder that has had limited mobility due to an old injury, and over all stability by strengthening my body. Within three sessions I began to have more mobility in my shoulder than I’d had in over a decade, and in the process began to notice it helped me carry myself, and all of the other heavy things I carry for work in a more functionally effective way.
Sydney’s training sessions are well thought out and have a focus on different areas of strengthening and mobility. She is sensitive to a persons limits and abilities, but also is very encouraging if someone needs a push. If I come in for our session feeling like my job from the week or day before has left me feeling like I’ve been hit by a truck, we can talk about what’s going on or where I’m having any muscle fatigue or strain and work with it. I knew I like lifting and moving heavy objects but for some reason never considered weight lifting as an option. She creates an environment that is safe and welcoming to everyone and has excellent cues and coaching skills to keep good form.
She is extremely knowledgeable and one of the most pleasant and delightful people I have ever met. I’m extremely lucky to have met her and am glad she is in my life. She runs her business very professionally and is flexible with session times as well as meeting virtually. Starting sessions with her was one of the best things I could have done for my body, and through our work together, she has helped me stay safe at work by teaching me how to use my body correctly, and in the long run with continued maintenance, that means I’ll be able to have a long career without completely wrecking my body in the process. A bonus to all of this is I get to actively reap the benefits of our work. I wish I had more time to see her more often.

Sydney is such an amazing trainer! She’s super responsive and is always checking in on you. Always listens to you and moves at a pace that is comfortable for you. During sessions she’s always making sure that your form is correct and pushes your limits to your full potential. She is very patient and very friendly! Her workouts are never boring and adjusts as you get stronger. She’s definitely the best trainer I’ve had.

I found Sydney through thumbtack. I was looking to get some personal training for my wife and I. Sydney first wanted to meet us to hear about our goals and understand how she could help us meet those goals. There are several things that make Sydney an incredible trainer. She knows her stuff and knows how to communicate during the sessions. Some of the motions were new to us but she was able to explain them to us so we could pick them up quickly. Sydney is also very talented at understanding your capabilities and making you walk the line of pushing yourself without ever overdoing it. Sydney has a way of making sessions not just fun but informative and life changing. My wife hates to sweat and hates exercising more but Sydney makes our sessions feel fun and by the end we have usually learned something about our capabilities. We always look forward to going to her gym and seeing what new techniques we are going to learn. I strongly recommend Sydney and always bring her up when my friends are interested in starting some personal training.

Skyler enjoys your sessions so much. She has even started doing more exercises at home on her own. She tells me that the next day she feels the soreness that comes with working out. I’ve trained with Sydney throughout the year and she definitely knows what she’s doing. When it comes to learning new exercises, she’s great at teaching you the right posture and form and understanding where your compatible weight limit is. My favorite part about training with Sydney is that she’s really humble. She reminds you that it didn’t take her a day or a week to get her weights up or to see any progress; everybody’s body is different and responds differently. She’s really patient and understanding when it comes to getting out your comfort zone and trying difficult exercises, but that doesn’t mean she won’t put you to work! Be prepared to walk out sore and for the next 2-3 days after leg day. Sydney’s the right choice. So start today, empower yourself and train with Sydney!

Working out with Sydney has been a blast! I normally go to the gym a lot on my own, but Sydney has taught me a lot of new things that not only make going to the gym more fun, but also target areas I've never targeted before. She's well aware of my goals and our workouts focus on me hitting my goals. For me, she does a mix of high intensity as well as weight lifting since I'd like to tone and build more muscle and strength. If I'm sore in any areas, I let her know ahead of our appointment so that she can prep a good workout for the day. This week, I've gotten a lot of compliments on my body and I have her to thank for it! I'm currently seeing her once a week, but I'd like to see her twice a week eventually. Shes also fairly flexible with time, which is convenient for me. I'm excited to see my results in the future

Now for my less serious review, Honestly, if I have to hear Sydney say "come on, you got this" one more time I'm going to lose my shit. There is no one I hate more than her during our sessions. I wish I could say "let's see YOU do these," but then I'd just be embarrassing myself and my self-esteem would plummet. I don't know why she bothers explaining what muscle groups we're working... I'm too exhausted to listen to her at that point. I ask her to show me the moves one more time just so I can rest a bit longer. Sometimes she does the workouts with me and I'm dead at the end because I'm competitive and I don't want to see her do more crab walks than me. Jeez, you tell the girl you wanna tone your butt once... On a positive note, Syd is the best listener. I tell her all about my my relationship issues despite not being in a relationship and she is all for it. PS: I'm not giving up my ramen, Syd. It's just not happening. I don't care how much sodium it holds or how bad the water retention gets.

I Feel like my inner powerlifting student/inner child was very nourished todayEach deadlift session it feels like I've been focusing on getting one cue cus i forgot about it the previous session. So likely slowly trying to pull everything together one thing at a time. But yesterday I felt like I was able to pull everything together at least like 80% of the time. But yeah I think with more practice it'll get better and hopefully less mentally straining But all my other lifts need help too hahahaha so BE READY PLS. Spoiler alert I haven't conventional dead lifted in years and I don't think I ever learned how to properly do them. Everytime I try my lower back feel naked and afraid like it's gonna hurt itself again. So that'll be a rough learning process

Their pregnancy journey has been one of my favorites to work with in terms of catering to an easier delivery by activating the pelvic floor, glutes, and TVA. I have also helped Michelle ease the pressure in her spine and hips with corrective exercises throughout her pregnancy as her due date was drawing near. I was so nervous about working with a personal trainer because I absolutely hate working out and find it intimidating. But Sydney is so great at explaining each exercise -- she's patient, clear and supportive -- that it makes everything feel way more achievable. The workouts are never easy (I always ache sooo bad after each session, which means it's working!) but the environment is positive and motivating. I don't feel stressed like I thought I would be. Instead, I feel excited to try something new. And that's really a testament to Sydney and her training style. Highly recommend!
